Anna Leach is a second-year master's student in GW’s Graduate School of Education and Human Development. Inspired by her undergraduate experience at Hope College, Anna is pursuing her graduate degree in Higher Education Administration Student Affairs. She aspires to provide the same encouragement to future college students to try new things (for her it was Greek Life, New Student Orientation, and the Student-Alumni Board) that her student affairs mentors provided for her.
In addition to her coursework, Anna works full time at the U.S. Department of Education in the Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. Her undergraduate degree was in Social Studies for Secondary Education, and an internship in the Department of Education transformed her career pursuits from teaching to federal public service.
