Laney Allison graduated with a BA from GW’s Elliott School of International Affairs in 2015. Her major was in Asian Studies, and she holds a minor in Mandarin Chinese.  In her time at George Washington, Laney held internships at three distinguished nonprofits: Half the Sky Foundation, National Council on Independent Living, and Earth Day Network. As a member of the DSS Speakers Bureau, Laney discusses the academic struggles associated with dyslexia and the importance of academic support, including test-based accommodations and overall academic support. Outside of university life, Laney was and still remains an active participant in the Chinese Adoptee community. For the past four years, Laney has served as co-president of the organization China's Children International, which she helped co-found.
