Request Alternative Text Materials

Submit a request to convert your books into a format that is more compatible for you. You can request conversion of up to fifteen books.

Complete all fields associated with each book.

When your texts have been converted, the Assistive Technology Assistant will email you directly with instructions about how to access them.

Your GWID starts with a "G."
Please enter your GW email address. For example, @gwmail.gwu.edu, @gwu.edu, @law.gwu.edu, etc.
First Set of Books (Books 1-3)

Book 1 Information

978-
Only enter an ISBN beginning with "978."

In the Course Information field, enter the "Subject" (departmental abbreviation and class number, not CRN) and "Section" number. Use GW's Schedule of Classes to identify this information.

We are able to offer large print, MP3, DTP (Daisy format) and Kurzweil. If you have questions about the format that might work best for you, please email dssbooks@gwu.edu to arrange a meeting to discuss your preferences.
You must provide a proof of purchase or a rental agreement for each text that you are having converted. This stipulation is based on copyright law and is a required part of the conversion process.
