Sara Soltani

Sara Soltani is an undergraduate sophomore at The George Washington University. She is majoring in Archaeology and dreams to have a job at a museum specializing in the ancient Near East.

Sara began working with the bureau at the end of her freshman year. Outside of GW, Sara has volunteered with BEGINNINGS, a non-profit organization that offers education and emotional support to parents and families of children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Sara, who identifies as a member of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities, has used her personal experience to inform parents of newly-identified deaf children about effective teaching methods for that population. In addition, Sara volunteers with Campus Kitchens in Washington, DC during the academic year, and during the summer, she volunteers with the Cued Speech Association in Iran.
