Danica Gonzalves

Danica Gonzalves is a George Washington University Law School alum, where her studies encompassed health care and disability rights. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Danica enjoys her time living and exploring the nation’s capital. Her past internships include: Protection and Advocacy for Individuals with Mental Illness Program at University Legal Services; Mental Health America; AARP Foundation Litigation; Department of Health & Human Services, General Counsel; and Department of Justice, Disability Rights Section.

In her involvement in the DSS Speakers Bureau, Danica strives to raise awareness about mental health and about college students with mental illnesses. She plans to use her law degree to protect and improve access to health care and to prevent discrimination against individuals with disabilities.
