How to Notify Your Professors of Academic Accommodations
To request academic accommodation letters for the current semester, navigate to "Accommodation Requests" on the home page of the online portal. Under “Accommodation Requests” select “Add Requests for Classes”, you should see a list of your current classes. Here you will have the opportunity to select the classes for which you are requesting accommodations. After you confirm your selection of the accommodations to be implemented in the course, the portal will send out notifications to your professor.
As your professors and course instructors change throughout your academic career, you will need to complete this process each new semester you wish to utilize your accommodations for.
Note: If you are a student in GW Law or the School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS), please note that your accommodation letter will be sent to your program laison.
