Chia-Ling Chiao

Chia-Ling Chiao, M.Ed., serves as the Associate Director of Technology Access of Disability Support Services within the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Community Engagement. Chia-Ling works closely with the campus community to advocate equal access by supervising accommodation services (Alt-text, ASL, CART and Notetaking) and supporting faculty with creating accessible course materials. She also promotes the campus’ awareness of, and access to, assistive technology (AT) devices and services.

Chia-Ling’s professional background includes teaching, instructional design for corporate professional development, and support of accessibility needs in higher education. Prior to joining to George Washington University, Chia-Ling worked at San Jose State University where she conducted the accessibility reviews of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) products to ensure that users with disabilities have equal or improved access to engage in their teaching and learning environments.
