Fundamental Alteration Analysis: Deliberative Process
The following deliberative process must be followed if it is believed that an accommodation would fundamentally alter an essential requirement:
- The DSS Representative for your college or school should be contacted to discuss concerns.
- A deliberative discussion process will take place and may include the Instructor, Department Chair, Dean, Academic Advisor or Administrator, DSS administrator, and other administrators deemed appropriate to determine the reasonableness of the request and any possible alternative solutions if needed.
