Taylar Johnson
Taylar is a S.T.E.M. Graduate, an HRD Strategist, a Published Writer, and a Socio-Behavioral Educational Researcher. Before joining DSS, Taylar held positions in Disability Services and Student Residential Life working alongside Career Services, HR, Emergency Management, Facilities, and Athletics to spread disability awareness, advocacy, and support on behalf of students with disabilities.
She has a passion for research covering topics like managing & developing employees, leadership style development, workplace microaggressions, minority recruitment, industrial and organizational learning, program enhancement, student success, mental health, wellness, and socio-behavioral responses to performance evaluation in workplace settings. Taylar, a born and raised Cali native, is a new D.C. resident relocating from Texas.
Taylar is studying for a Master's in Organizational Leadership and Learning through GW's Graduate School of Education and Human Development. In addition, Taylar holds two degrees from the University of Houston: A Master of Science from the Cullen College of Engineering's Technology Division and a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences.
