Shannon Bernick

Shannon is a dedicated educator who has provided instruction, advising, and coaching for students at both the postsecondary and K-12 levels throughout the country. Prior to joining GW, she served as the director of an academic support program for students with language-based and neurological learning differences, an accessibility specialist, and an inclusion teacher. She is passionate about fostering inclusive and accessible environments and advancing disability rights.
Shannon earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Penn State University, a Master of Education from California University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Social Work from Florida State University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration. Shannon holds a PreK-8 educator license and a PreK-12 school social worker certification.
